"I came to the Tallapoosa Co. Girls Ranch in 1989, tired of the abuse I was receiving at home. It was an experience that saved my life. Had it not been for my houseparents who knows where I would be today. They treated each one of us girls as if we were their own. I have and will always have a special place in my heart for the Girls Ranch. I thank God for my time at the ranch, and the love I received as a young, troubled girl."
Dora S. Harris, Resident 1989-1991
